Happy New Year!

While a lot of the people I know or follow in the virtual world already have a plan for this New Year, I personally have been slacking. I’ve been struggling with what exactly I want to accomplish in 2013. I had a great year and got a lot done, on all fronts. I finished my schooling and earned my Associates Degree from CLC, landed my first interpreting gig and refocused on my business. Financially I stayed on track and managed to set up a functional plan. We did our Route 66 trip last summer and had an amazing time along the way! I can’t believe how amazing this country of ours is! Amazing, I tell you! I also planted a vegetable garden at home and in November I joined a health club again; I want to stay strong and healthy and be here for many years to come.

There were also a few things that I did not get to in 2012. I didn’t get to visit my brothers in Romania or learn to drive a stick (I know, I know, it’s not a hard thing, I just didn’t get to it). I didn’t finish my children’s scuba diving certification or make any progress with the de-cluttering of my home, I didn’t stick to some of my budgets and also, I didn’t blog as much as I wanted too.

I love January because of its refreshing opportunity and I am hoping to have a great year. However, I feel that at the moment I am lacking the vision for the months ahead and of all the things that are important and I want to accomplish. Of course, high on the list is travel and work, but trying to figure out all the little things is a little bit more challenging. Some days I want to do it all, some days I feel that I already have enough on my plate. But I guess if I just keep at it, things will work out, and I will be able to have a better idea and a clearer path in front of me.

So here is hoping for a wonderful New Year, full of fun and new ideas, health and good friends. And lots of blogs.
